NV Prosecco Primo Frizzante, Cavit Trentino, Italy £6.95
So very Italian - a flanged cork, pressured at just 2.4 bar, helps it sneak under the sparkling wine tax band. This wine is a pale gold in colour with a refreshing bouquet, redolent of Alpine
pastures. Best served lightly chilled as an aperitif, it is especially good with canapés.
NV Marquis de Latour, Loire Valley £7.50

Opens with a bouquet of apple cider. A nice mousse, crispness, and an apple, bready, creamy palate with nuances of citrus and nuts and a bit of astringency leads to a finish which is broader than long. There's a lot of freshly baked bread aromas in this delightful bubbly, along with peach pie and even apricot. This is an intense wine, dry and scouring and the crisp tartness follows through on the finish.

NV Mas Macia Brut Cava, Spain £8.75
Pale green with very fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is full, fruity and intense, with a soft biscuity character. Pear and melon fruits abound on the palate with a touch of white pepper, basil and tarragon. The finish is as smooth as can be!
2007 Legatura di Valdobbiadene, Mionetto, Italy £10.00
One of the top Prosecco producers located in the Veneto region, Sergio Mionettto
cannot (by law) use the red grape Legatura in Prosecco production. So he crafts a Rosé scented, fresh and fruity wine with cherry flavours and a mellow, dry aftertaste. Perfect for pouring as an aperitif and only 11% alcohol!
NV Prosecco di Valdobbiadene, Mionetto, Italy £10.75
Pale green with a glint of gold, this lightly sparkling non-vintage wine fizzes in the glass, but the bubbles dissipate quickly. It’s delicate and peachy with clean and crisp fruity flavours.
Delicious for summer sipping and fine with spicy fare.
NV Brut, Valentin Bianchi, Argentina £11.00
This Brut is not only one of Argentina’s best sparklers, 50:50 Chardonnay & Pinot Noir, it also stands up to the best that the rest of the world has to offer at this price. With biscuit fruit on the nose, and good richness on the palate.
2008 Taltarni Brut Tache, Australia £14.35
For the Krug of sparkling wines you need look no further than stunning sparkling wines from Taltarni. Their Brut Taché is a delicate salmon-pink rosé that has the acidity and fruit balance that so many cheap Australian fizz patently lack.
