Sparkling Wines

NV Primo Prosecco, Italy £6.95
Pale gold in colour with a refreshing bouquet, redolent of Alpine pastures. Best served lightly chilled as an aperitif, especially good with canapés.
NV Prosecco di Valdobbiadene, Mionetto, Italy £10.75
Pale green with a glint of gold, a lightly sparkling non-vintage wine. Delicate and peachy with clean and crisp fruity flavours. Delicious for summer sipping and fine with even spicy fare.
NV Champagne Gallimard, France £22.95

From the steep slopes around Les Riceys in the Southern Aube. 100% Pinot Noir, Gallimard champagne is full, rich and offers enticing aromas and flavours of exotic summer fruits.

Rosé Wine

2008 Domaine d'Astros Rosé, Vin de Pays des Maures, Provence £7.00

An historic estate in Provence that lists the Knights Templar among its previous owners. Cool, crisp and pale with zesty pink grapefruit, raspberry and redcurrant on the nose and a dry, citrus palate with some red berries soaking into the well balanced and long finish.

White Wines

2008 Marktree Semillon & Chardonnay, South Eastern Australia £5.95
A crisp fresh style with delicate floral aromas, a medium palate with rich fruit expression and a well balanced long elegant finish. The base for this wine is some fantastic Semillon, so unlike many other house wines , this will actually improve over the course of the year.
2009 Porter Mill Sauvignon Blanc, South Africa £6.50
Superb value, Porter Mill produce an elegant style of Sauvignon Blanc with good structure and varietal definition. Clean, fresh and grassy.
2008 Bellefontaine Sauvignon Blanc, VDP, France £6.00
Quite the best VDP that I have tasted: Crisp, clean and aromatic with a lively zesty acidity and grassy fruit finish.
2009 Domaine Félines-Jourdan, Picpoul de Pinet, Languedoc £9.00
Located not far from Meze, this is the outstanding estate of the appellation. Minerals and sea salt on the nose with hints of green fruit and melon. Weighty on the palate with lovely crisp acidity.
2007 Vondeling Sauvignon Blanc, South Africa £8.75
Vondeling wines are made in a minimalistic way to retain as much of the natural fruit flavours characteristic of Sauvignon blanc and to express the unique and rich terrior of the Voor-Paardeberg. Packed with zesty green fruits on the nose, with passionfruit and starfruit notes on the palate. Well balanced with a crisp fruity finish.
2008 Sauvignon de Touraine, Jean-Christophe Mandard, Loire £9.50
A splendid alternative to Sancerre, this is Sauvignon at its quaffable best. Intense grassy fresh nose with hints of gooseberry. Plenty of ripe fruit on the palate with a lovely vibrancy.
2009 MOKO Black Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand £8.50
Classic Marlborough Sauvignon - pungent passion fruit, cut grass and grapefruit that almost jump out of the glass! Extended lees ageing has given this wine more intensity and generous fruit flavours with more texture and weight.
2008 Mâcon Prissé Les Clochettes, Cave de Prissé, Burgundy, France

£10.00
Extremely accessible, fresh and pure Chardonnay from Burgundy. The Cuvée ‘Les Clochettes’ is this producer’s top Mâcon, and shows greater concentration and complexity.

Red Wines

2007 San Rafael Merlot, Chile £5.75
Juicy and succulent with bags of ripe Merlot fruit and soft clean finish.

2006/7 Marktree Merlot Cabernet Shiraz, South Eastern Australia £6.00
The red Marktree blend offers a soft juicy immediately appealing style with bright red fruit aromas, a subtle hint of spicy oak, intense damson fruit on the palate with a restrained tannic structure. Concentrated and unusually complex for a wine of its type but effortlessly drinkable!
2007 Bellefontaine Shiraz, VDP, France £6.00
A sun-ripened pure black fruit flavoured wine for easy-drinking. No harshness or astringency.

2008 Rioja Tinto, Mirador de Navajas, Spain £8.00
85% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha & 5% Mazuelo. Brilliant ruby red in colour with a hint of violet, this young fruity and vibrant wine is open, with mouth watering black fruits of the forest. This wine is light and luscious with black fruits with an medium intensity finish. Perfectly matched with a wide variety of dishes: Pate, salads, vegetables, cold or warm turkey and ham, fish soups, as well as red and white meats.

2006 Château des Antonins, Bordeaux Rouge, France £8.65
A really well balanced, and lively style of claret. Vibrant juicy cassis fruit, with a touch of cedarwood and spice.
2005 Château Beau Rivage, Joly Rivage, Medoc, France £11.75
Located along the Garonne banks five kilometres from Château Margaux, this wine is ruby coloured with complex aromas of pencil-shavings and cigar boxes. The palate is ripe and rich with pronounced blackberry and raspberry fruit flavours.
