German Wine

German wines were once as sought-after as the greatest wines of France but today do not enjoy such an illustrious reputation – which is to the benefit of Riesling fans because the wines remain very reasonably priced.
There are some great German wines. Riesling is the mainstay of quality German wine production, and nowhere else on the planet does it achieve such a focus of tingling fruit and perfect balanced acidity. We list many fantastic Rieslings, principally from Max Ferd Richter in the Mosel, Schloss Saarstein in the Saar Valley and the famous Karthauserhoff Estate in the Ruwer.
